There is a Lake, Lake Louise has a Lake

Leaving our campground and going 7 miles to Lake Louise, there is no camping around Lake Louise, just a very nice hotel

The Valley of the Ten Peaks

There are actually two lakes in the Lake Louise area, Moraine Lake was actually my favorite, less crowded too.

Lake Louise, yes there is a Lake Louise

They rent canoes here for $40 dollars an hour, and they had people lined up for them.

There is a glacier at one end of the lake, in the winter there is ice skating, and cross country skiing.

The Fairmont Hotel has a hotel on Lake Louise, Banff, and Jasper, this hotel is the only place you can stay anywhere on the lake, otherwise you drive in with hundreds of others and hike a few blocks into the lake.

Around the lake is a wooden boardwalk and signs with bronze faces on them telling about the people who had something to do with Lake Louise's past. This one is of John Barrymore, who lived here, and talked the movie studios into using Lake Louise as a stand in for the Swiss Alps in From Here to Eternity
