The Road to Lake Louise as seen through Rainbow, the moose's eyes

Nine RV's left Montana for Lake Louise, Cindy and I left earlier as we had to dump, fill up and drive slower than the speed demons, we thought they would pass us, but it didnt' happen, in fact, we heard, that half of them took a wrong turn, somewhere.

It was 300 miles of the most beautiful scenery you can imagine, these pictures do not do it justice. Most of the time we had Canadian Rockies on either side of us, so close you felt you could reach out and touch them.

The road signs are different, the color of them is a yellow mustard on Grey Poupon, and they use symbols whenever they can, small symbols. A typical exchange between the navigator and driver would be like this, "You can't do a whole bunch of things ahead, but you can do one thing.....unfortunately I couldn't figure the symbol out"

One sign had two cars with a circle around it and a slash through it, I thought easy, "DON'T DRIVE WITH A CAR AHEAD" Cindy pointed out that she finally got it, the slash was only through one car, it really meant, "Don't Pass"

And yes, Jerry, gas is $6 a gallon here, even with the conversion to gallons from litters and the exchange rate.

The backside of what we are about to find out is Castle Mountain

Cindy's view, she is still doing all the driving as the "blind girl" has not passed her vision test, that piece of wood did look very similar to a Grizzley.

A long stream of Canadian vehicles are leaving the Lake area as it is the end of their holiday, July first, the Canadian Birthday.

We are here! Turn to the left to go into the campground, this is the view from everywhere in the campground, Swiss Alps, ala Canadian style. But where's the lake.........? Is there a lake?

As seen through the eyes of Rainbow, the moose, (the one with the Canadian flags we stuck on him to gain favor at the border). It worked, no horror stories of having to give them all our beef, or all of our dog food, they just asked us if we had any firearms or liquor and away we went.

Too much scenery for these guys, they're dog tired, rving stresses them out so much.

Poor Rainier and Gracie! SO TIRED & DEPRIVED, with their own "couch" and all! hee hee! "Honey mustard w/grey poupon" road signs? Now THAT'S just bizarre, even for Canadians...right? Never though about different road symbols...though they were supposed to be internationally 'standard'! With my wacky interpretation and translation of things I'd probably be offending all Canada and eventually be arrested, huh? LOVE THE PICTURES THOUGH, please keep 'em coming!
