The Cemetary at Inuvik, Northwest Territory

The town of Inuvik was built by the Canadian Government to relocate the town of Aklavik, which was flooded, some people in Aklavik didn't move, and they call themselves the "town that wouldn't die"
This cemetery is small but nice, and they are renovating it right now, bringing in some dirt to make all the burial plots even as they are all buried in permafrostNotice the moon above the sign and the "midnight sun" below, you really have to wear sunglasses at night, it's that bright
This is Grizzly Bear territory also, but we didn't see any

All the markers had pink ribbons on them with their names on it, so that if they got moved during the renovation they's know who they were

These were the only granite, markers we saw, can you imagine getting them here?

Very nice, she must have provided many cups of tea to someone

Good to have you back Barbara, put on your seatbelt because it's going to bumpy ride, or at least it has been lately. We are in Tok, and hope to be in Valdez soon, then to Anchorage and who knows, I just go where I am told to go, as the car just goes where it is towed to go. Where have you been in Alaska?
