We stayed two nights in Shadow Mountain RV Park, got to catch up the blog and I am getting a sinus cold, the mosquitoes are very bad here, because of all the water I suppose, but I am a walking blood bank Except for one instance yesterday the road has been very nice, we have been on much worse while on our trip we start out our morning with a washout on the road, hope this is it
It didn't rain that much to cause a wash out, you gotta wonder what's going on with this road
A guy said in the old days the whole side of the hill moved, with the road, so guess it is better
Seems funny they would call a washout a project
More of the little white flowers, and red, orange, pink
Pretty wildflowers, some wild canola
Trucks are suppose to check their brakes, before getting to this hill
Starts out at 8 percent grade
9 percent hill, 10 percent is Cindy's limit, whew......
Cindy wants down off of this hill, and so do I
Not much to say it's just awe inspiring
It's not too bad of a road, at least it's seal coated, no frost heave, and no washboard, life is good
These mountains are such a trip, I have never seen anything like them
My goodness, we have stripes and everything, how long can this last, Cindy is wondering if this means she has to stay on her side of the road, I said naaah
Kind of dicey after seeing side of road washed out
Another Saltine Box Bridge, Cindy thinks Canada must have standard bridge kits, ahhh, this one looks like it takes a Box Bridge

the attraction is heliskiing,
"the last fronteir"
this helicopter takes you to a glacier so that you can ski down it,
sounds like it could be your last fronteir if you did it
For some reason in Canada, the pumps for diesel are yellow colored, in the US the diesel pumps are green, in Canada green pumps are regular gas, go figure, I almost put gas in our motorhome once
This is Chewy, she has such soulful eyes
Zebra Mountains, how cool is that?
Bear Glacier, I can just imagine a bear in the cave at the bottom, enjoy, we sure did
These power lines aren't going anywhere
The stuck rider's chair, I'm on the couch on the driver's side with my head out the window
OH, NO THE TITANIC!!!!!
Could this be Stewart?
Civilization, at last, it must be Stewart
A whole row of nothing but motorhomes from Florida
Remember it's a holiday in Canada, maybe that's why there aren't many people around
Cute little town, they seem to have everything they need

A River Runs Through It is one of my all time favorites!!! Legend of the Falls a big fav too, and can't leave out the Bourne series....I love those!!! But I love vacationing from home with you and Cindy the most, I want to thank you both for the time and effort it has taken to maintain this blog, it has been so much fun and greatly appreciated!! Summer is over and school is starting so I had to go back to work yesterday, DANG IT, but I will still be checking in on a regular basis. Karen is leaving in 2.5 week for Afghanistan, she will be gone until next April, looks like a long winter for me but I have the granddog Gooster, prissy girl BP and Elliott aka FAT BOY, both are cats, they like to watch movies with me so that is a good thing to do in the winter. I know I am rattling on here so I will quit it. Get them bear pics up soon, I can't hardly wait
Take a look at Bear Glacier again, imagine putting in a wooden cabin type bldg with pilings around it, remember Robin Williams in Insomnia? That was filmed in front of Bear Glacier, the built a fake building in front of it. Bear Island, 1979 Donald Sutherland, Lloyd Bridges, The Thing, Kurt Russell, 1982, Iceman, Timothy Hutton, 1984, Leaving Normal, Meg Tilly, 1992, and 8 Below,2005, all were filmed right here in the Hyder, Stewart area. Who'd of thought it?
